Little Queen is the third studio album by American rock band Heart. It was released on May 14, 1977, by Portrait Records. The album was recorded and mixed at Kaye-Smith Studios in Seattle, Washington, from February to April 1977
Heart is a great band, whose influences remains to the most important bands on the planet, like, for example: Led Zeppelin. Both sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson are full of skills and sensitiveness and, of course, the other members of the group are good as well.
This album is a hard rock pearl, the 1st song "Barracuda" is a hard rock masterpiece, a great hit that pushes you to the limit of high sonority. The 2nd one "Love alive" is an accoustic song, which drinks in the fountain of youth, very much Led Zeppelin folk style.
The 3rd "Sylvan Song" is a minstrel way to play, folk in its essence, with mandolin and accoustic guitar and it is a prologue to the next one "Dream of the archer", also accoustic and beautifully sung by Ann.
The 5th "Kick it out" is a good rock'n'roll, very shaky and good to dance. Then, we have the title track "Little Queen", rock'n'roll, very groove.
The 7th "Treat me well" is a beautiful ballad, romantic, tender, that kind of music we don't listen anymore, without being phony.
The 8th "Say hello" is a kinf of music that reflects the happiness of the Caribbean or Florida in the summertime.
The 9th "Cry to me" also a respectable sincere ballad with the very pleasant vocals of Ann.
The 10th "Go on cry" leads you to the twilight of dreams, a real trip, if you will, has a hippie feeling, like the musicals of late 60's and early 70's, the same vocals of Hair or Jesus Christ Superstar. The song reveals Ann's sublime and strong voice, reaching high scales.
