We all know the main theme, but if you've enjoyed the Christopher Reeve original movie, this has the full musical score from every scene.
Nobody can match John Williams for writing scores with thematic melodies that find your way into head, and instantly evoke the particular scenes they accompanied, and remain immediately recognizable whenever you hear them.
Anything by John Williams is forever a winner. Go buy the Soundtracks for the original Star Wars, Indiana Jones, E.T., Jurassic Park, and everything else John Williams has had a direct hand in, after this one. There's a reason John Williams is responsible for scoring the most iconic films of all time. It's a chicken and egg question whether the success of the film makes the music more memorable, or whether the impact of the score is what ensures the the film is celebrated as having a lasting legacy. In the case of John Williams, I lean strongly toward the latter.
