This album is BRILLIANT -- and by far the best Philip Glass album I've ever heard. I love Stravinsky's Rite of Spring and Petroushka, Frank Zappa's Dance Me This, Hot Rats, and Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Pink Floyd' Relics, Wish You Were Here, Animals, Gentile Giant's In a Glass House, Free Hand, Interview, Joni Mitchell's Hejira, and so much more. THE POINT BEING FOLKS that there's so much great music that varies in genre and style -- putting Country aside. Some might say Dance 1-5 is too-o-o-o-o- repetitious, blah-blah-blah. Hey, somehow the beat of a heart has it's own marvelous melody. OK... its individual melodies REPEAT -- so frigging what!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These melodies are magnificent, wondrous, interesting, maybe even meditative. Anyway, I was lucky enough to hear this performed live by Glass and Michael Reisman and Dora Ohrenstein (I believe) at Princeton University (if memory servers me) circa 1988 -- and their performance was nothing short of phenomenal. Years later I purchased this album (having bought a few rare copies since as gifts) -- and rank it as one of my all time favorites. Just LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN -- truly gorgeous!!!!

VG+ (Very Good+) A few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks.
VG (Very Good) Similar imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
VG- (Very Good-) A number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
G (Good) Record can be played without skipping, but will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. G+ and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range.
