Playing this record is recommended on a high quality player with anti-skate features. Other things you can try to help with skipping if you can’t adjust the anti-skate: Make sure your record player is perfectly flat - use a level tool to check it If you can’t get it flat simply by placement, try putting index cards beneath the feet of the turntable to adjust.
"I love all of PD’s catalog, from their raw beginnings on 38 Counts of Battery to their doom EP, Mass and Volume.
While I understand that many long time fans will whine because the band is evolving towards a fuller and more structured sound, they maintain their brutal roots regardless. The addition of a bass player and the longer, more accessible tracks featured on Head Cage are no less brutal than their early material, just more mature. The band shows real growth here, in as much as any grindcore band can mature, given the nature of the genre. It’s unfair that growth equals selling out to so many fans. While the early stuff is great, and essential in the story of PD, I don’t want to hear ANY band make the same record over and over.
The riffs are still jagged and angular and JR’s howls are as guttural as ever, they just seem more thought out this time around. The improved production only accentuates the band’s ever improving musical ability. Grind doesn’t need to have the primitive production of early black metal albums to be good in my eyes.
What’s not to love?"

NM (Near Mint) Appears unplayed and will bear no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches.
EX+ (Excellent) May have one or two visible imperfections (i.e. sleeve scuffs, faint scratches, or other superficial marks) that will not affect playback.
VG+ (Very Good+) A few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks.
VG (Very Good) Similar imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
VG- (Very Good-) A number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
G (Good) Record can be played without skipping, but will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. G+ and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range.
*SW/DNAP* Slight warp, does not affect playback
*QUAD* Quadraphonic Sound, similar to today’s surround sound
