Condition Critical is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Quiet Riot. Released in 1984, it was not nearly as successful as its predecessor (1983's Metal Health) in either fan reaction or sales.
"Here I am again a few decades later reviewing an album that I should have given more of a chance when it originally came out. I really liked Metal Health which is a fairly solid album that includes the mammoth title track (with an awesome video)! But by the time Condition Critical came out, Quiet Riot had had the first #1 metal album ever and they were now everyone's favorite band. They chose to follow the same formula with the second album by covering another Slade song and releasing the so-so Party All Night as another single. Despite buying the cassette as soon as it came out, I started to lose interest in the band and did not listen to it much. Fast forward a few decades and I have to say that the album includes some great songs like Sign Of The Times, Stomp Your Hands, Winner Takes All, Condition Critical, and Red Alert. As one reviewer wrote, it is as good as the first album and I agree. The year 1984 was a great year for metal!"

*SEALED* Jacket still sealed in shrink original wrap; disc sold ungraded or "as is."
NM (Near Mint) Appears unplayed and will bear no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches.
EX+ (Excellent) May have one or two visible imperfections (i.e. sleeve scuffs, faint scratches, or other superficial marks) that will not affect playback.
VG+ (Very Good+) A few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks.
VG (Very Good) Similar imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
VG- (Very Good-) A number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
G (Good) Record can be played without skipping, but will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. G+ and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range.
*SW/DNAP* Slight warp, does not affect playback
*QUAD* Quadraphonic Sound, similar to today’s surround sound
