"The Dude" is a 1981 studio album released and recorded by Quincy Jones. Jones utilized a lengthy list of studio musicians to perform the tracks. Three singles were released from the album in the USA, all of which charted on the U.S. Top 40.
This album is the bridge between Michael Jacksons "Off the Wall" and global best selling "Thriller" album. Quincy produced both Michael Jackson albums but "The Dude" album appears to be where Quincy honed many of the techniques which when sprinkled with Michaels Jacksons magic dust, made Thriller the worlds biggest selling album of all time ever, selling over 110 million albums.
