For the first time ever, all of the Small Faces classic Decca and Immediate singles from 1965-1969 are included on one LP. Every 7” single A-side is here: UK & European No.1 – ‘All Or Nothing’ - Top 20 hits – ‘What'Cha Gonna Do About It’, ‘Sha La La La Lee’, ‘Hey Girl’, ‘My Mind's Eye’, ‘Here Come The Nice’, ‘Lazy Sunday’, ‘The Universal’ – USA & worldwide hit singles ‘Itchycoo Park’ and ‘Tin Soldier’ – and more! All have been newly remastered to vinyl from the original Decca and Immediate master tapes by Nick Robbins at Soundmastering Studios in London under the supervision of surviving Small Faces member Kenney Jones (who also pens a touching introductory sleeve note). All the correct single versions (including USA-only 7” ‘Mad John’ from UK no.1 LP ‘Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake’) have been included and sound incredible in their original mono mixes! The LP sleeve features previously unseen photography from the two legendary photographers most associated with the band during their career across the two record labels – Tony Gale (Decca, front cover) and Gered Mankowitz (Immediate, back cover).
Pressed on red, white and blue “Mod” splatter-vinyl and limited to 3,000 copies. Each LP will also come with a colour postcard with the LP cover artwork, hand-signed by Small Faces drummer Kenney Jones on one side and a facsimile of a Decca band member biog on the other side. The Small Faces ended in 1969 when Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie and Kenney Jones, Ronnie Lane and Ian McLagan formed the Faces with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Lane. Members also later went onto playing with The Who, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, and many, many more. They are one of the most highly regarded UK groups from the sixties, a fact recently endorsed by tributes for a Small Faces boxset from David Bowie, Robert Plant, Paul Weller, Nick Mason, Glen Matlock, Chad Smith, Paul Stanley, Rick Nielsen, Peter Frampton, John Lodge, Russell Mael and many, many more. The Small Faces were, as Pete Townsend lovingly called them: “A place of joy in the early UK music scene. A complete delight.” Complete Greatest Hits! *SEALED* Jacket still sealed in shrink original wrap; disc sold ungraded or "as is."
NM (Near Mint) Appears unplayed and will bear no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches.
EX+ (Excellent) May have one or two visible imperfections (i.e. sleeve scuffs, faint scratches, or other superficial marks) that will not affect playback.
VG+ (Very Good+) A few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks.
VG (Very Good) Similar imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
VG- (Very Good-) A number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
G (Good) Record can be played without skipping, but will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. G+ and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range.
*SW/DNAP* Slight warp, does not affect playback
*QUAD* Quadraphonic Sound, similar to today’s surround sound
All records are visually graded by our experienced staff, using a bright lamp and an Audio-Technica ATLP-120 turntable.
