Soul Creole's debut single, Trois Rangs, honors the tradition of the number 3, or the Trinity, in Louisiana culture: the 3 sides of the triangle, the 3 instruments in Louisiana Creole music, and the celebration of life in South Louisiana. Written and sung by Ashlee Michot in Louisiana French, and performed in a modern zydeco style, Trois Rangs features producer Louis Michot on fiddle and guitar, Corey Ledet on accordions and drums, and a guest appearance on bass by the songs co-producer Korey Richey (LCD Sound System, Arcade Fire).
The Side B -Trois Rangs Dub- was produced by Korey Richey and Louis Michot, with additional production by Bryan Webre, and is a first of it’s kind mix of the Zydeco and Dub genres, offering a track that is both danceable and meditative.
