"Most people are either Hagar or Roth fans, personally I love the music from both. While Roth has his defining moments as frontman with having two of their first six albums reach "Diamond" status selling over 10 million copies, Van Halen & 1984. When the Red Rocker (Sammy Hagar) joined the band in 1985, releasing 5150 in 1986. The album hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, surpassing the band's previous album, 1984, which had peaked at number 2. Then came 0U812 released in 1988, a powerful album with great songs such as "Black and Blue" , "When it's Love" hitting #1 on the charts and "Finish What Ya Started" hitting #2 on the charts. Eddie floods the album with his usual speed metal guitar riffs. Every song on the album is a hit in my book. Van Halen with Hagar or Roth, in their prime, both produced some of the best rock & roll songs of all time. I've been a huge fan since seeing Van Halen back in 1982, the "Diver Down" tour, the display of Eddie's raw "F'N" power with Dave in his prime just blew me away. I've also had the pleasure of meeting Sammy Hagar at his bar in Cabo at one of his birthday bashes, what a class act he is. Yes I am a die hard Van Halen, Roth and Hagar fan."
